Frequently
Asked Questions
What should I wear?
White or Pastel colors are perfect for lighter backgrounds. Casual outfits
in earth tones work best for outdoor photographs. Middle tones of deeper solid colors are ideal for formal portraits. Bright colors look great with
our Color Key Backgrounds and in snow. Avoid large prints, patterns, and stripes that detract from your face. Always bring a lots and lots of clothes
and we'll help you pick out what will look best.
What about my hair and make-up?
Avoid major changes such as cut, color, or style, less than a week before
your session. Keep your make-up natural and fresh. Avoid glitter and sparkle
type make-up as these often appear as blemishes on photographs. For guys, a
fresh shave is a must! If you have a beard or mustache make sure it is neatly trimmed.
Can I bring a friend, pet, props, children...?
You will need to make arrangements with the studio ahead of time if bringing
friends, pets, or children. You can bring a friend to help with hair etc.
You can bring pets and/or children as long as they are to be included in the
photo session, but they will need to be supervised at all times. Be sure to
bring additional help to care for children and/or pets. Bring any props you
wish, including band-sports-cheerleading uniforms, instruments, cars, etc. What about this giant zit on my nose? We do minor
retouching as part of our standard service. This includes removal of facial blemishes, strands of hair, brightening of teeth, eyes, color and density correction. Other services such as removal of braces are
available upon request.
